Who We Are
The Mercy Ministries (TMM) is a Christian 501(c)3 non-profit healthcare organization that has operated as a safety-net clinic(s) for uninsured, low-income adults with chronic disease in South Ga. since 2009. Our mission is to “put God’s love into action by providing healthcare services to those in need,” and our vision is to eliminate the gaps to healthcare and wellness in every community.” Using a 1:1 ratio of staff to volunteers, our two clinic locations (in Lyons and Graham) serve over 900 unduplicated patients each year, implementing our full circle of health model to promote physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Why We Exist?
The Need
- The rate of uninsured people in the counties we serve is almost double (19%) the state average (10%).
- Families living in poverty are twice as likely to develop chronic diseases, such as Diabetes.
- Mental Health issues are five times more prevalent in individuals living in poverty.
Our Motives
♥ We love to love on people because Jesus loves us! (1 John 4:19)
♥ We believe in health equity – that everyone should have access to healthcare and the opportunity to achieve wellness if they want it and are willing to do their part. (Micah 6:8)
♥ We believe in the power of Biblical community and pulling resources together to help our neighbors that are hurting and trapped in a cycle of physical, mental, and financial despair! (Acts 2:44-45)
